These are just a few programs offered by the Veterans
Administration. It is very important to note that some
of these benefits are not limited to the veteran, but
may also be extended to the veteranís spouse.
There are formal periods of war in which service must
have occurred for some, but not all, benefits. These are
the eligibility periods:
World War II
1941 to December 31st,
1950 to January 31st,
1964 to May 7th,
1975 and ďin countryĒ from February 28th,
Gulf War and Iraq / Afghanistan Wars
It is very important to note that
you had previously been denied a claim
for any service connected disability as a result of the
